Plain Dutch Weave Wire Cloth Plain Dutch weave cloth differs from plain square mesh in that the warp wire diameter is larger than the weft wire diameter. The tightly woven construction of plain Dutch weave mesh results in a cloth with no visible apertures, which aids particle retention and filter cake formation, making it strong, stable, easy to clean, and suitable for high-pressure liquid/solid separation.

Twilled Dutch weave takes the tightness and coverage of the warp wires even further, creating an extremely tortuous flow path that delivers excellent particle retention while maintaining reasonable flow rates, making it an even stronger and finer filtration option.
